The implementation of green funeral is an important task in the funeral reform of Anhui province. The necessity of Anhui in implementing green funeral mainly lies in the fact that China is a country with more people than land，thus scarcity in resources as well as the pressure on ecological environment by traditional funeral. Anhui has achieved significant results in promoting green funeral，but still has certain problems，namely，the lagging behind of laws and regulations for green funeral，the non-existence of supply and demand mechanism for green funeral，little awareness of the public for green funeral，insufficient investment in green funeral，and the undesirable people-first service of green funeral. The research proposes paths for further promoting green funeral in Anhui from multiple perspectives including improving relevant laws and regulations，establishing multi-level guarantee systems，showcasing the leading role of government，setting up models for green consumption and more focus on people-first concept，so as to maximize reforms in green funeral.
