In the 40 years of reform and opening up，the power industry in Henan Province has undergone earth-shaking changes. It has made great achievements in terms of development speed，development scale and development quality，which have strongly supported the province’s economic and social development. In 2018，Henan’s power industry maintained a good development trend. The electricity consumption of the whole society increased by 7.9% year-on-year，and the growth rate reached a new high of nearly 7 years. The power supply structure continued to be optimized，the power grids at all levels were coordinated，and the power system reform was steadily advanced. The achievements of the people have been continuously consolidated，and the development of the industry has strongly promoted the fight against poverty and pollution prevention in Henan. In 2019，in the face of the tightening power supply and demand situation and the continuous increase of new energy consumption pressure，Henan power industry should promote the high-quality development concept as the fundamental direction，and strive to promote the shutdown of the backward coal-fired power units and improve the clean supply of electricity. The ability to strengthen the flexibility of the power system，ensure the safe and stable supply of electricity，and promote the transformation and upgrading of the province’s power industry.
