Since the reform and opening up to the outside world，coal has always been the dominant energy source for production and consumption in Henan Province. The coal industry in Henan Province has made historic achievements and made outstanding contributions to support and guarantee the economic and social development. In recent years，with the gradual tightening of ecological and environmental constraints，coal removal and reduction has become the overall tone of energy development in Henan Province. In 2018，the total coal consumption in the province further decreased，by about 3% from the same period last year，and coal prices fluctuated at a high level. Production and operation of coal enterprises in the province are generally stable. In 2019，with the further promotion of the reduction policy of coal consumption，the pace of the decline in total coal consumption in the province is expected to accelerate further，with a year-on-year decline of 5%；In 2019，Henan Province should adhere to the policy of consolidating，strengthening，upgrading and unobstructing energy supply-side structural reform，taking energy supply-side structural reform as the main line and carrying out the policy of consolidation，enhancement，promotion and smooth flow. Through changing the way of development，deepening the reform and innovation and other measures，while vigorously reducing the total amount of coal consumption，promote the smooth operation of the coal industry economy.
