With the development of natural gas and renewable energy，the proportion of coal in the global primary energy consumption declined continuously，with a share of 27.6% in 2017，which is the lowest level since 2004. In the Chinese market，the share of coal in primary energy consumption fell to 59.0% in 2018，which is the lowest level in history. With the further development and utilization of renewable energy，the effect of coal consumption reduction and substitution will be more significant.
