<<Satisfaction with medical service is an important aspect of QLICC. Through a comprehensive questionnaire survey of the 35 major cities across the country, the subjective medical services sub-index of each city was obtained, which to an extent represented the satisfaction of urban residents with local medical services. Nevertheless,a simple survey could not accurately reflect the objective situation of medical services, and most of the existing studies paid attention only to micro-reason analysis. In order to make a better explanation of the sub-index,six objective data indicators were selected from the macro perspective in relation to medical care capacity, government investment and economic development. Then two multivariable linear regression model and Stata were used to analyze the correlations between the subjective sub-index and the objective indicators. According to the regression results, the satisfaction with urban medical services was of significant positive correlation with the number of practicing doctors per 10,000 residents (“number of doctors”),and of moderately significant positive correlation with the number of hospitals;but it was not necessarily positively correlated with the living standard of urban residents or the number of hospital beds per 10,000 residents (“beds”). Although it was positively correlated with the medical expenditure of the government, the correlation was not insignificant. To improve the quality of urban medical services,it is necessary to enhance our efforts in the construction of best-in-class hospitals,in the utilization efficiency of healthcare providers,in the training of healthcare professionals (HCPs) and in the optimized utilization of medical investments.
