The health of the people has always been a major concern of the society and is closely related to the future development of the country and the nation. In recent years, however, industrialization, urbanization, population aging,as well as disease spectrum,eco-environment and lifestyle changes, have brought new challenges to the maintenance and promotion of health. Since the economic, political, cultural and ecological environments vary greatly from city to city across the country, this report probed into residents’ health conditions in different regions based on the data obtained in the 2018 QLICC survey, and identified the determinants of health conditions sub-index by studying the impacts of population, transportation capacity,eco-environment,economic development, employment situation and medical care capacity. Through our analysis,it was found that the health of the residents was not determined by merely one factor. To improve residents’ health, collaborative efforts need to be made from different aspects such as ecology and employment. To find out feasible ways to improve the health conditions sub-index,and to provide targeted policy suggestions to meet people’s needs for a better life, local authorities may have to continuously implement and focus on the new concepts proposed in the report of the 19th CPC National Congress about ecological civilization building, public infrastructure construction and employment, and take relevant measures to improve residents’ health. It is also necessary to probe into other related aspects on this basis,so as to achieve health of higher quality and higher level.
