The year of 2018 marks the 40^th anniversary of China’s adherence to the reform and opening up. This year also witnesses our continuous improvements and the establishment of stricter system in the field of new media copyright protection，including the construction of a more optimized ecological environment of new media copyright protection and more prosperous copyright-related industries. This paper reviews the current situation and problems of copyright protection in 2018，and puts forward suggestions on copyright protection for new media from the perspectives of justice，administration，media and society，etc.
