The blockchain journalism is not blockchain report，but a new media format that will bring revolutionary changes to the media content based on the application of blockchain technology. Now China’s blockchain journalism is at the stage of reporting blockchain consulting. The blockchain financing changed from hot financing into cold in 2018 and the State supervision became stricter and stricter，which result in the end of blockchain journalism’s brutal growth. There exist problems with blockchain journalism such as the imperfect technology，unclear business model and low quality in content. Moreover，the users’ trust in blockchain journalism needs to be strengthened，more talents in blockchain journalism are needed and a friendly environment for the development of blockchain journalism needs building. With the development of blockchain journalism shows the tendency that it continues to clear the market，the reform of traditional media and new media is being furthered，and the media ecology is being reshaped，the government should strengthen industrial guidance，improve supervision and strengthen talent training.
