With the government’s increasing attention to the protection and development of historical and cultural blocks and the booming development of cultural tourism industry，some famous historical and cultural blocks have appeared successively throughout the country and with the development of science and technology，these historical and cultural blocks are constantly integrated with science and technology. This paper takes Jianghan Road and Zhongshan Avenue historical and cultural blocks as research objects，through questionnaire and interview data，the status of scientific and technological innovation of historical and cultural building in the block is obtained. In view of this situation and the public’s experience and evaluation on the scientific and technological innovation of the historic and cultural buildings of the block，several suggestions on scientific and technological innovation are put forward to strengthen the integration of the historical and cultural buildings of Jianghan Road and Zhongshan Avenue with the means of scientific and technological innovation，promote the development of the blocks，stimulate local economic development and build cultural brands.
