This article analyzes the main content and background of the Seventh Amendment to the Criminal Law，adopted at the Seventh Session of the Standing Committee of the Eleventh National People’s Congress，discusses revision of the provisions in the Criminal Law on the crimes of embezzlement，bribery，disruption of socialist economic order，violation of citizens’ rights，disrupting the order of social administration，jeopardizing interest of national defence，and explores the legislative purpose and the concrete application of a series of newly established crimes.
