With the acceleration of the urbanization process，a large number of floating population and various unstable factors gradually shift to the peri-urban areas.Because it is located in the transitional area between rural and urban areas，it is also the confluence of rural civilization and urban civilization.It is often a region with high incidence of contradictions，disputes，public security issues，criminal cases，and crimes.It has become a difficult and important point of social management.How to do a good job in the comprehensive management of peri-urban areas and promote social harmony and stability is a problem that deserves our serious consideration and urgent solution.This paper studies the case of the renovation work of key villages in the urban and rural areas in Shunyi District，summarizes the measures taken and the results obtained in the renovation work，and analyzes the existing problems in the work.It also puts forward some countermeasures and measures to improve the effectiveness of the renovation work in the urban and rural areas，and actively explores effective ways to innovate the social management in the urban and rural areas.
