Tourist cooperation,as a combination of economic benefits and cultural exchanges, has long been an important part of the interaction between the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. The high-level political mutual trust among the member states of the SCO and the achievements made in economic and trade and humanistic cooperation have laid a solid foundation for tourist cooperation within the framework of the SCO. Although the current tourist exchanges among SCO member countries are still in the initial stage, there are problems such as insufficient development of tourist resources, backward infrastructure, visa difficulties, language barriers, and legal differences. With the increasing interest of the member states in the field, tourist cooperation is expected to become the most promising area of cooperation within the framework of the SCO.
