The research uses case analysis and comparative analysis to study the current situation，characteristics，influencing factors and management progress of tourism-related accidents in China （excluding Hong Kong，Macao and Taiwan） in 2018，and to explore the development trend and management measures of tourism-related accidents in 2019. The research shows that in 2018 China’s tourism-related accidents overall situation to continue getting better and better，the number of accidents and the number of casualties have dropped significantly；the tourism traffic accidents，hotel safety accidents，outdoor sports accidents and drifting and cruise yacht accidents are the main types of accidents；the serious and major accidents have been effectively suppressed，and the safety issues of high-risk tourism projects without qualifications and private development have been highlighted. The research points out that in 2019，the marine tourism and wading campaigns，mountaineering outdoor sports，and hotel safety should be focused on. The introduction of “Measures for the Management of High-risk Tourism Projects” should be speeded up，to promote online travel service providers to improve the level of tourism safety services，comprehensively consolidate tourism safety management system，etc.
