Tourism safety is one of the crucial factors that affect the sustainable development of tourism and entertainment industry in China. In 2018，though the general safety situation of tourism and entertainment places in China is similar to previous years，it still has its own characteristics. For example，the quantity of safety accidents in East China is still at the top of the list. And tourism equipment accidents，water-related accidents，and animal-related accidents account for a large proportion，children and adolescents are the main targets of tourism and entertainment safety accidents，and the weekends，the summer and winter holidays are the high-occurrence period of safety accidents. In 2018，though the general safety situation of tourism and entertainment places has been improved，it still faces great challenges which needs to strengthen the safety management of parent-child tourism market，give priority to the emerging tourism and entertainment projects，especially high-risk tourism and entertainment projects，pay attention to the safety management of weekends，and the summer and winter holidays，and do a good job in the whole process of safety management of tourism and entertainment places.
