In the year of 2018，according to the requirements of Master Plan of City of Beijing （2016-2035），the preservation of historic city has been continuously consolidated. Progress has been made in the preservation of the old city’s style and features，the preservation of the central axis and the preservation of the three cultural belts. The overall preservation pattern of historic city has been constantly elevated，the ability of cultural innovation and inheritance has been continuously improved. Based on the experience of the preservation of historic city，we should make continuous efforts to strengthen the preservation of historic city as well as the research，balance the preservation of material heritage and intangible cultural tradition，and deal with the relationship between the new and the old，thus upgrade the ability of the preservation of historic city.
