Energy transformation is a key link in the economic transformation and development of resource-based regions. Accelerating energy transformation is an important guarantee to break the bottleneck of resources and environment，enhance the capacity of sustainable energy supply，and promote economic transformation and upgrading. From the current situation of Shanxi energy industry development，this paper fully affirms the positive changes that have taken place in the adjustment of energy structure，and at the same time analyzes the predicament of Shanxi energy transformation and development，and then puts forward the breach to realize the energy transformation.
