The quality of life of residents in resettlement communities is an essential issue in the process of new urbanization. By establishing the evaluation index system of living quality of the resettlement community from three dimensions，which are physical environment，social environment and value significance of the living world，by means of questionnaire，survey and observation to collect data，and refer to the quality of life of the neighbor community residents to evaluate the quality of life of residents in the resettlement community in the western suburbs of Zhengzhou City. The study found that the quality of life of residents in the resettlement community is approaching the goal of new urbanization. However，residents in resettlement communities are obviously dissatisfaction in terms of income and consumption，medical infrastructure and services，relations with property workers and community cadres，and recreational activities. Based on this reason，the improvement of the quality of life of residents in resettlement communities needs to concentrate on the sustainable development of residents’ livelihoods，the improvement of management and service capabilities of property staff and community worker，and completion of fundamental public service.
