The essence of the popular science work system is the norms and standard in science popularization work. It is an important guarantee for the sustained and healthy development of science popularization. Beijing’s popular science work has always been at the national leading level，and it is inseparable from Beijing’s establishment and implementation of the joint science conference system. This paper expounds the historical background，organizational system and operational status of the joint science conference system in Beijing. From the analysis of the practical significance of the joint conference system to the development of popular science work，it analyzes and studies the organizational means and realistic guarantees for improving the work level of popular science.
