Popular science work is an important way to promote the scientific quality of citizens. The high-quality development of popular science work requires the support of specialized science talents. The “Science and Technology Popularization and Development Plan of the” 13th Five-Year Plan “in Beijing” put forward new requirements for the construction of Beijing science popularization talent team in the new era. Based on this，based on the latest popular science statistics，this paper analyzes the development status of Beijing science popularization talents，and believes that there are prominent problems in the quantity，quality and stability of professional and part-time science popularization personnel，and there are structural contradictions to some extent. Finally，in response to the above problems，it is proposed to establish a scientific evaluation mechanism，improve training，increase funding and build a cross-border communication platform，build a high-quality science talent team，and promote the high-quality development of Beijing science popularization work.
