To promote the construction of science and technology innovation centers requires the two wings of technological innovation and scientific popularization. Based on the results of the survey of Beijing citizens’ scientific quality in the past years，this report analyzes the situation and tasks of comprehensively promoting the development of science popularization and improving the scientific quality of Beijing citizens；from the perspective of popular science resources construction，popular science communication ability and science development，the development of Beijing science popularization in 2017 It is estimated that the 2016 Beijing Science Popularization Index is 5.08，which is the only region in China with a breakthrough of 5.00. It benefits from the construction of the National Science and Technology Innovation Center，and all kinds of popular science resources are invested heavily. The growth rate of Beijing’s 2016 popular science index is higher than that of Beijing. The average level in previous years increased by 11.6% compared with 2015. Beijing continues to lead the development of national science popularization；among them，the popular science activities and the construction of popular science talents provide a great impetus for the Beijing science popularization cause. Beijing core functional area and urban development new area are the main engines of Beijing science development. Finally，the report accelerates the supply side structure of science popularization. Suggestions on sexual reform，science and technology popularization，high-quality development of science popularization industry and Beijing science popularization brand construction.
