In order to promote innovative educational system at local level，since 2008，the 21st Century Education Research Institute has joined force with multiple-agencies and launched the “Local Education System Innovation Award”. The award and its selection activity is held every two years and has been successfully held for six sessions. By analyzing the awareded cases of the 6th Local Education System Innovation Award，we discovered and summarized the basic characteristics of local education system innovation in the past two years.

In the new period，deepening education reform is a tough battle and requires effective promotion of the modern education governance model，means a greater level of “loosen up” for the innovation and development of education，and aims to better help address the main educational contradictions in the New Era.
