In 2017，the industry scale in Hunan’s tea industry continued to expand. The total planting area of organic tea has reached around 118000 hectares with three green demonstration projects of tea containing high-yield cultivation technology in connected fields. Hunan has devoted to supporting the leading tea enterprises，promoting tea culture and increasing brand awareness. To cultivate high skill talents working at the forefront of the tea industry by offering related courses at schools. Hunan’s tea industry has become one of the preponderant and leading industries with new features of taking targeted measures in poverty alleviation by promoting industrial structure adjustment and building a reputation of tea，including products，brands，markets，plants and bases with high-quality. The goal is to optimize and upgrade the industrial structure of tea by achieving the transition from scale-based to quality-based development of tea production.
