Baiyun District has always had the glorious tradition of being warmhearted and philanthropic minded，and has a good foundation for the development of philanthropy.In the report of Guangzhou Regional Philanthropy Index Report （2018），Baiyun District ranked third in Guangzhou in terms of philanthropy comprehensive development index and ranked first in terms of activity index and contribution index.This essay summarizes the achievements of Baiyun's philanthropy development in targeted poverty alleviation and helping the needy，the elderly，the sick and the disabled in recent years.Baiyun District has driven the overall development of poor villages，guaranteed the basic livelihood of the needy，improved the living and health conditions of the elderly，and promoted the active integration of the disabled into society.In the future，Baiyun District will make every effort to build the brand of “Charitable Baiyun”，expand channels for donation，strengthen the management of funds，create a good social atmosphere，and improve social credibility of charitable organizations.
