The family environment has a great influence on individual charity behaviour，and the family plays an important role in promoting philanthropy.On the whole，the level of participation in philanthropy in China is low，partly because of the lack of charity education.With the construction of “City of philanthropy”，Guangzhou has actively tried to attract wide public participation with various new models and concepts，such as “Charity Month for Citizens” and “Selection of Charitable Families” to bring charity culture into families，schools and communities.The atmosphere of Guangzhou residents participating in charity has become increasingly strong，gradually exploring a path for all citizens to participate in charity.
