The imbalance between urban and rural development is a global issue.The report implementing the New Urban Agenda by Strengthening Urban-Rural Linkages released by UN-Habitat aims to implement the New Urban Agenda to encourage urban-rural interaction and connectivity，and to bridge urban-rural social，economic and geographical gaps.The report provides a comprehensive analysis of the rationale for strengthening urban-rural linkages and the mandate of UN-Habitat under the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals and the New Urban Agenda；points out the 10 potential entry points for strengthening urban-rural linkages and the six proposed priority areas of intervention of UN-Habitat.Based on the main contents of the report，this paper analyzes its experience and enlightenment on China's implementation of the rural vitalization strategy to promote balanced development.
