By examining the relevant research results of literature on the volunteer service of cultural centers in mainland China from 2010 to 2017 collected by China National Knowledge Infrastructure（CNKI），this paper found that there are few journal research articles in this field currently.Although Some papers deal with the volunteer services in cultural centers to be the theme of “cultural volunteer service”，overall there are not many research results，the research depth is not enough，and the topics are not wide when compared with research on libraries and museums and with the practice of volunteer service in the cultural center.Current research results focus on five topics：construction of volunteer team of cultural centers；volunteer service situation and practice cases of cultural centers；the important role of volunteer service of cultural centers；problems of the volunteer service of cultural centers and measures to promote the development of volunteer services of cultural centers.This paper advises that research on volunteer service of cultural centers should expand horizons，concerns and improve research method.
