Since 2016，the cultural volunteer service of public libraries in China developed rapidly. From the view of the development of construction progress，management systems at all levels have been introduced intensively，organizational construction and service activities have been carried out extensively and academic research results have been enriched. From the perspective of construction achievements，the cultural volunteer service teams and the service networks have been further expanded，and the service work has been widely recognized by the society and the government of Public libraries. The successful exploration of many libraries in volunteer management，service activity planning and service brand operation has provided a useful reference for the development of voluntary service in public libraries. The cultural voluntary service of public libraries in China will show a more institutionalized and standardized management，more normalized and specialized content，and a transformation of service mode from offline mode to “internet plus” mode.
