In recent years，under the great attention of the Party Central Committee and the State Council，China's cultural relics protection work has shown a good development trend.The awareness of cultural heritage protection of the whole society has been further enhanced，and the protection funds and protection forces have continued to grow，and the protection status has improved markedly.However，with the rapid development of China's economy and society，the contradiction between cultural relics protection and urban construction has become increasingly apparent，and cultural relics protection management is facing some new difficulties and problems.Taking the protection and utilization of red cultural resources in Macheng city as an example，this paper analyzes and discusses the basic situation and current situation，planning and assumptions，difficulties and problems，thinking and countermeasures of the current red cultural resources protection and utilization，so as to provide a reference for the further construct and improve the mechanism of red cultural resources protection.
