Ethnic areas are the key and difficult areas for promoting the standardization of modern public cultural services in China.Since the economic，social and cultural development of ethnic areas have long been unbalanced and inadequate，the construction of public cultural service systems in ethnic areas should proceed from local specialities and complexity，adapt to local conditions，and choose the development path and mode that suits them.Taking the Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture of Sichuan Province as an example，and given the current situation of local public cultural service system construction，this paper analyzes the problems and causes in the aspects of public cultural facilities，products and services，talent teams，capital investment，etc.The path selection and countermeasures based on the development of public cultural services in ethnic areas are also elaborated.
