In the new era，the main contradiction in our society is the contradiction between people's growing needs for a better life and the unbalanced and inadequate development.Public cultural life is an important part of a better life and a crucial content of basic cultural right of the masses.At present，changes in urban development and demographic structure provide the necessary macro-environmental foundation for the transformation of public cultural construction，and the new path of public cultural construction needs to be opened up.Financial support is an important lever for regulating the supply of public culture and a powerful engine for promoting the continuous development of public culture.Based on this，this paper analyzes the main characteristics of the current imbalanced and inadequate development of the public culture supply field，and new ideas of financial support for public culture construction in the new era are proposed.
