End-of Life Vehicles（ELV）have become a kind of waste with rapid growth in China，which has high value of resource utilization. However，there are many environmental problems in the process of recycling and disassembly of ELV. If they are not properly handled，there will be environmental risks. The data of ELV over the years in China was analyzed，which showed that recovery rate and utilization rate of ELV by standardized processing are lower than developed countries. By analyzing the typical disassembly process of ELV disassembly enterprises，the environmental problems and risks that may arise in the process are pointed out. In addition，the possible problems in dismantling facilities，personnel and management of dismantling enterprises were also studied. As a result，corresponding technical measures and management suggestions were put forward to deal with these environmental problems and risks above.
