With the Regulation on Reclamation and Disposal of Electrical and Electronic Waste （the Regulation） came into effect on January 1，2011，China has started regulating reclamation and disposal of electronic waste. However，investigations and researches conducted last year show there is still a long way to go before the Regulation can yield any concrete effects，mainly as a result of limited public awareness and participation and the lack of an effective and functioning electronic waste reclamation system. Therefore，it is urgent to launch a green revolution of electronic waste reclamation with active public participation. Actively motivating and involving the public will be the key to a sustainable and green solution to problems in electronic waste reclamation.
