The paper summarizes the characteristics of service industry development in Sichuan Province in 2018，such as rapid growth of service industry，accelerated development of emerging service industry，remarkable vitality of market main body，and still existing gap in development. It also analyses the new requirements，opportunities and challenges faced by the future development. In order to promote the high-quality development of service industry in Sichuan Province，it is proposed to build spatial pattern of multi-branches，to build modern service industry system，to strengthen the construction of service industry carrier，and to optimize development environment for service industry.
