Over the past two decades，some untrue or even wrong data and information have been circulating in the development of Chinese traditional medicine industry. On the one hand，this situation may arouse special attention of the society to Chinese medicine，but long-term interference with untrue data is not conducive to the scientific decision-making of the government and enterprises. Based on the retrospective investigation of the share of Chinese traditional medicine sales in the international market and the collection and analysis of information on Chinese and international traditional Chinese medicine industry，this paper deeply feels that the relevant departments have not really realized the importance of Chinese traditional medicine industry data，and have not systematically collected，analyzed and studied industrial data so that the wrong data has been circulated in the society for a long time. It calls on the competent departments of Chinese medicine，health，medicine，industry and informatization，customs and statistics to establish an international platform for data investigation and Research on the development of Chinese medicine industry as soon as possible，so as to provide real and accurate data support for scientific decision-making of the development of Chinese medicine industry.
