Energy is an essential material basis for the survival and development of human society，which concerns national economy and people's livelihood and also the long-term development of a country.It is the 40 years since the reform and opening up in which China has made tremendous achievements in energy sector，the energy management has been transforming from command system to market system，the reform of energy investment and financing system has made positive progress and the international cooperation in energy industry has moved toward a new stage.Over the past 40 years，although the industry reforms in coal，electricity，oil and gas and new energy have different starting conditions and progress，they all orderly proceed toward marketization.In some areas and links，reform is still not in place and efforts need to be strengthened.Looking forward to the future，we need to always pursue the way of marketization reforms，coordinately promote the reforms in important areas and key links of all industries，and accelerate the building of a clean，low-carbon，safe and efficient energy system.
