This paper provide a general information about the status of Korean documentary programs by examining the production situation and the overall situation of the industry in 2017. First of all，we will analyze the type and production of Korean cable TV documentary programs，and investigate the overall status of documentary program production. Secondly，we will make a brief analysis of the status of pay-TV channels and cinema documentaries，the import and export of Korean Broadcasting Corporation documentaries，and the documentary film festivals held in South Korea. In order to grasp the overall situation of the Korean documentary industry. The import and export of television broadcasting programs is very small.
