As a director from Shandong to Zhujiang Film Studio，Sun Zhou made southern urban movies as well as With Sugar（1987），The True Hearted（1992）and Qiu Xi（2009）in different historical periods.These films presented regional landscape and humanity landscape of Guangdong，shaped three different female images，reflected the director's identify with traditional culture and the obsession of finding spiritual home，as well as expressed his own confusion and love for Guangdong's urban culture.We can understand the development trajectory of people and urban culture in southern city thoroughly from these films，feel the pain that people experienced during the evolution period，along with Sun Zhou's molding and imagination of Guangdong's regional image and identification.
