    文化儒学:儒文化史·儒文化学·儒文化哲学——基于对顾学研究的自我反思

    摘要

    广义的儒学概念是指儒家所从事的学术活动和表达其学术成果的经论以及后儒对先儒的经论及其社会活动的研究与述论。假定“文化儒学”是标志某种特殊儒学观和某种特殊研究方法的概念,则“文化儒学”作为一个学科应有儒文化史、儒文化学、儒文化哲学三个分支。据此来反思笔者自己的顾学研究经历,拙著《顾炎武年谱》当属“儒文化史”范畴的作品,《顾炎武哲学思想研究》和《明清之际新仁学——顾炎武思想研究》当属“儒文化学”范畴的作品。从“儒文化学”意义上去理解后两件作品,其思想实质乃在于将儒文化理解为以“仁”为价值标志的德性伦理文化。在此基础上,还可在“儒文化哲学”层次上对顾学做进一步研究,这就意味着可以把儒学当作以“德性”来制约社会物质生活需求的一种文化思想来理解。依笔者之见,这种文化思想是基于一种循环论的世界观,这种世界观不应作为“儒文化哲学”的思想指导,否则将导致极端保守主义文化思潮的泛滥。笔者主张“儒文化哲学”以现代进化论世界观作为思想指导,对儒文化思想做“返本开新”的“综合创新”研究,其实质就是通过“温故知新”的历史活动来实现“继往开来”的文化创造。

    Abstract

    The concept of Confucianism in a broad sense refers to the academic activities of Confucianism and the theory of Confucian classics representing its academic achievements as well as the study and review of Confucian classics and their social activities before the Song Dynasty. It is assumed that “cultural Confucianism” is a concept that indicates a certain special Confucian view and a certain special research method,then “cultural Confucianism”,as a discipline,should contain three branches,namely,Confucian Cultural history,Confucian Culturology and Confucian Philosophy of Culture. Hereby,the author reflects on his own researches of Gu Yanwu. My book,the Chronicle of Gu Yanwu,falls into the category of “Confucian Cultural history”,Study on Gu Yanwu's Philosophical Thoughts and New Benevolence in the Ming and Qing Dynasties:Study on Gu yanwu's Thoughts belong to the category of “Confucian Culturology”. In the sense of “Confucian Culturology”,the ideological essence of the latter two works is to interpret Confucian culture as a moral and ethical culture marked by “benevolence”. On this basis,further research can be made on Gu Xue at the level of “Confucian cultural philosophy”,which means that Confucianism can be understood as a kind of cultural thought that restricts needs of social material life with “virtue”. In the author's opinion,this kind of cultural thought is based on a cyclical world view,which should not be used as the ideological guidance of “Confucian cultural philosophy”,otherwise it will result in the overflow of ultra-conservative cultural thought. The author advocates that “Confucian cultural philosophy” should adopt modern evolution theory as the ideological guidance,and study the “comprehensive innovation” of “returning to the original and opening up new” of Confucian cultural thought,whose essence is to realize the cultural creation of “inheriting the past and opening up the future” through historical activities of “reviewing the old to learn the new”.
