In recent years，witnessing the rapidly-developing gaming industry alongside the growth of the entire economy，Macau residents’ lives have undergone enormous challenges. However，apprehension about the impacts of the global financial crisis，security issues and contradictions within Macau economy has accelerated where diversification of resources and structures is concerned. The culture innovation industry is one of the most important industries that promote Macau economic diversification. From the perspectives of the connotation and development of culture innovation industry，this paper explores the required environment for its growth，studies the conjunction between the Macau economy and culture innovation industry development and ultimately discusses the thinking and initiatives on the culture innovation industry development from the general frameworks，development positioning，progressive mode and the perspective of the development prospects.
