In the context that China's social security system is far from perfect，employment is a still main source of life for the disabled；however，statistics shows that the average salary of the disabled is just approximately half of that of the able-bodied persons，which indicates that the employment situation of the disabled in China is far from satisfactory. Taking Guang'anmennei Sub-district as a sample，this article has made survey on the employment of the disabled by means of questionnaires and face-to-face interviews for an insight into the existing problems in this regard and proposed to improve the employment situation from such five aspects as proper work in physical and mental recovery of the disabled，intensified vocational skills training for the disabled，enhanced support for self-employment of the disabled，steady development of concentrative employment of the disabled and creation of the social environment conducive to the employment of the disabled，which are expected to provide references to other regions.
