In the past five years，Guangdong Province has continued to promote constructions of the public cultural service system and vigorously developed its public librarianship which had remarkable results. The public librarianship has shown a booming and ascensive development trend integrally：facility constructions has been focused on the grassroots level and has formed a network；funding guarantee system has been established and its investment has been increased；the amount of literature resources is abundant and its structure is optimized；service efficiency is universal equality，professional and efficient；and the scale of librarian team has been increased and optimized. Compared with the sixth national public library evaluation and grading standards，the government subject consciousness had been strengthened in Guangdong public librarianship and governments provided comprehensive and strong guarantee；the construction of library business had been developed in the direction of specialization，digitization，systemization and socialization；and the service efficiency had been oriented by reader and performance，and the service level had been significantly improved. In terms of regional librarianship，Pearl River Delta，eastern Guangdong，western Guangdong and northern Guangdong have their own characteristics and advance synergistically，the experience of Guangdong public librarianship has been formed initially with cultural confidence，ideological guidance，systematic guarantee，and efficiency orientation.
