Beijing used to be the national capital of six dynasties in Chinese history and boasts of the time-honored history and culture. It has a galaxy of intangible cultural heritage resources constantly accumulated and passed down in the course of historical development. These intangible cultural heritages are not only living fossils of urban development and cultural memory of Beijing，but also symbolize the spirit and wisdom of Beijing. Located at the core functional zone of the capital，Qianmen Dashilar has always been a bustling commercial center of Beijing since Ming and Qing Dynasties. It is the epitome，essence and origin of the capital culture，and brings together many intangible cultural heritages（including Chinese time-honored brands）. As one of the largest historical and cultural blocks in Beijing，Dashilar is dotted with intangible cultural heritages，which constitute the city's valuable wealth and intangible assets. Dashilar attaches great importance to the protection of intangible cultural heritages. In order to highlight regional development characteristics，build regional cultural brands and push forward continuous innovation and development of the regional culture，Dashilar conducts in-depth exploration into protection of intangible cultural heritages within its jurisdiction. Some of its successful measures and experience in practice are worthy being learned by other regions. This report summarizes the positive outcomes of its practice，further casts light on some problems in work，and puts forward some suggestions for further improving the protection of the intangible cultural heritages in Dashilar.
