This chapter introduces the international situation and trend of the energy equipment industry in 2017. Then it analyzes the energy equipment industry in China from these aspects that the situation of operation，the composition of industry，the volume of trade，the level of technology and the existing issues. In addition，it summarizes the prospects and suggestions for the development of the energy equipment industry. The analysis of the Chinese energy equipment industry shows that the period of the development is steady growth and the sales performance is active in the international and domestic market. Although the distance between the domestic technical level and international level is smaller gradually，the domestic technical level is still in the medium-low position since deficiency of critical technologies. Therefore the energy equipment industry of China will improve the collaborative innovation system about “politics，industry，learning and research”，promote the intelligent manufacturing and the energy saving manufacturing，strengthen the degree of internationalization，and implement the development mode of “going-out”.
