This chapter introduces the international situation and trend of the construction equipment industry in 2017. Then it analyzes the construction equipment industry in China from these aspects that the scale of development，the situation of operation，the composition of industry，the volume of trade，the level of technology and the existing issues. In addition，it summarizes the prospects and suggestions for development. The analysis of the Chinese construction equipment industry shows that the period of the development is steady and the market performance is active. Although the technology of several products have achieved the international advanced level，the technical level of the whole industry is still in the medium-low position such as deficiency of critical technologies. Therefore the construction equipment industry of China will insist on the innovation driven development strategy，promote the intelligent manufacturing and the green manufacturing，strengthen the quality brand building，improve the degree of internationalization，and develop to the direction of high-performance，high-reliability and high-value-added in the future.
