As the result of the third-party assessment of the openness of court trial in China in 2017，commissioned by the Supreme People’s Court，this report provides a detailed introduction to the principles，targets，and methods of the assessment，objectively presents and analyzes the basic situation of and major progresses of the assessment，summarizes the achievements and experiences of the openness of court trial in China，points out the existing deficiencies in the system，and puts forward suggestions on its improvement.
