Lujiazui building economy is “born with the reform and growing with the opening-up”，meanwhile has also been pushing the development and opening-up in Pudong. Currently，Lujiazui building economy embodies three characteristics：the peek of Shanghai building economy；the agglomeration of high value-added industries；the development mode jointly boosted by the government and the market. The main challenges faced by Lujiazui building economy are：high commercial cost；the industrial chain remaining to be improved；large improvement space for market power. This report suggests：continuing to open from a higher starting point to promote development in Pudong；giving full play to both the forces of the government and the market；authentically enhancing the capability of financial industry to serve the real economy.
