Based on the development histories and experiences of urban agriculture in developed countries such as Europe，America and Japan，this paper judges that Fengxian’s urban agriculture is still in its infancy，and the development of urban agriculture plays an important role in solving the problem of shortage of agricultural labor supply and buffering the impact of agricultural land reduction on agriculture. The rising of per capita income level and age structure of urban residents in Shanghai have provided a broad market space for the future development of urban agriculture in Fengxian. However，Fengxian urban agriculture is still in a weak position in terms of technology content，specialization and brand. It is necessary to strengthen policy guidance，technical support and social propaganda to promote the continuous development of Fengxian urban agriculture and enhance the vitality of Fengxian agricultural development.
