Qingyun Village，located in China’s National Nature Reserve，is predominantly inhabited by Black Yi，a branch of the Yi. The traditional Yi culture has been preserved properly. The intangible cultural heritage projects with regard to dance and singing such as the big bangs of Yi people，songs and sheepskin dance are characterized with Yi culture. The culture has been passed from generation to generation with the efforts of the government and local villagers. Taking Qingyun village as an example，the essay analyzes the context of cultural heritage protection. It is expected to call for attentions of experts and further research.
