The intangible cultural heritage of ethnic minorities including Shui people in China is created and crystallized by those wise and industrious people. It is an inseparable part of China’s outstanding traditional culture. Due to the accelerating modernization，the intangible culture of Shui people is endangered to some degree for many reasons such as the cultural transformation，the deficiency of practitioners，etc. This report puts forward some countermeasures including enacting laws and regulation，wakening cultural confidence，optimizing the cultural distribution，and diversifying the function and validity of safeguarding to promote the sustainable development of the intangible culture heritage of the Shui.
