Chicago is not only an important economic city in the middle of the United States，but also an important cultural creative city in the world. Relying on the unique advantages，such as，rich cultural resources，active urban planning policy and a large number of high-quality talents，the industry construction of Chicago have transformed from a traditional type into a creative cultural industry. This paper introduces the general situation of transformation in Chicago，and analyzes the reasons for the achievement of great economic value，the improvement of the economic industrial structure. Through the analysis of the successful course and driving force factors of Chicago from the traditional industrial city to the global cultural and creative city，this paper is hoped to be helpful for exploring the transformation of the traditional industrial city.
